Product description

A set of cams, some alpine draws, that trusty collection of nuts…and you’re set for a day of crack climbing in the Techno X. Heinz Mariacher’s updated trad shoe, pulling the performance from Scarpa's precision shoes and incorporating the all-day comfort of more relaxed models. Bi-Tension randing to drive performance into the toes, but a flatter, symmetrical fit for long routes up the Chief. Extra coverage over the toes make these great crack climbers! This shoe does it all, great edging, cracks or smears. Italian made, super dialed, still comfortable. Grazie, Heinz!

Note: This shoe has very little stretch. Most people are comfortable in the same size as their street shoe.

Hey guys! Today I checked out the Scarpa Techno-X. I love the fit and construction of this shoe. It has a narrow last and laces all the way down to the toes. My feet, especially my heels, are very low volume, but the front of my foot is pretty wide, so I grabbed the men's instead of the women's model. The rubber grabbed the back of my heel and didn't slide around. My toes were really comfy in these shoes and they have a nice stiff platform for jamming in cracks and edging. I didn't get on any slab today, but the rubber sticks beautifully and seems like it would be great for smearing. The only downside to these shoes is how blue my feet still are, even after a shower! Reminds me of my very first shoes. I hope to test these shoes out on some long multi-pitches this summer, they were really comfortable and yet still precise. Thanks for the demo SCARPA and Climb On Equipment!
