Have your climbing shoes resoled at West Coast Resoles! The shoe drop box is at the Grandwall Bouldering Coop.
Do you know about West Coast Resoles?
Last year, I wrote about where you can have your climbing shoes resoled in Squamish and Vancouver. The places I mentioned did a satisfactory job in resoling climbing shoes. When you want a good quality fix, most of our customers mentioned having to send their shoes to the States — either to the Rubber Room or Yosemite Bum.
NOW, there is actually an exceptionally fine cobbler that knows a lot about resoling shoes, with strict focus on resoling climbing shoes. Based in Vancouver Island (Duncan, BC), James Glickman has over 8 years of experience repairing climbing shoes. He has great dexterity and an eye for detail, with knowledge of creating custom lasts for almost every climbing shoe on the market. It certainly helps that he's also an avid climber and rock crusher.
Squamish is set for this season! To have your climbing shoes fixed, the shoe drop box is situated in the Grandwall Bouldering Coop.
How it works:
1. Check out their website for service, pricing, and other deets.
2. Fill out the order form with a return address on it, slip it in your shoes, write your name and contact info on a tag and zip tie it with the shoes through the pull tab.
3. Send them down the chute!
The West Coast Resoles team will be collecting the shoes in the drop box on the 1st and 15th of every month.
4. When your shoes are ready, they will ship them back to you at the return address you have indicated. They pay the shipping cost and will bill you for the return.
