There's always something fun and enjoyable happening in Squamish. You can grab an entire list of events and festivals at the Adventure Centre. That said, if you're wondering what climbing specific events are happening around town soon, here are four fantastic events that you should definitely mark on your calendar.
Ground Up Climbing Gym is holding another Summer Session Series every Sunday, starting July 8th. They are bringing together researchers, physiotherapists, a mental training consultant, athletes and coaches aimed towards learning new things and keeping your climbing stoke up! Presenters will vary in each session. They include Nina Tappin (Climbing Physiotherapist from Project Physio), Sarah Hart (Athlete), Jason Brandenburg and Luisa Giles (Sports Physiologists), and many more!
Formerly known as "Squamish Mountain Festival," The Arc'teryx Climbing Academy is a four day celebration of mountain culture, jam-packed with clinics on all topics related to climbing, educational seminars, and product demos. To add, the evenings will be spent overlooking the Chief at the Pavillion, listening to amazing speakers and then jamming to live music, whilst sipping some beers with friends.
Squamish Rampage is an annual bouldering & acroyoga festival that unites the local and international climbing community in B.C. They hold this annually to raise money for the Squamish Access Society (SAS), as well as the Climb and Conquer Charity that helps introduce climbing mentorship to youths from at-risk circumstances.
RAMPAGE is 100% volunteer run and costs us thousands of dollars upfront. Please register early and don't wait for last minute to help us plan better. Registration fees support our local climbers’ host and representative: Squamish Access Society (SAS) to protect Squamish climbing, reopen old routes and increase new routes.
For this event, you can get Free Rentals (helmet, shoes, and harness) at our shop.
The second annual Treeline Women's Climbing Festival is happening in Squamish! This event is aimed to celebrate the community of women in climbing and give them a place to nurture new skills and friendships in an environment free of judgement and intimidation. These clinics are led by adept female professional rock guides.
