Featured Apparel: Outdoor Research Ascendant Hoody

What to wear when you’re always on the move and it’s not t-shirt or tank top weather? The OR Ascendant Hoody is pretty amazing!

Featured Apparel: The Outdoor Research Ascendant Hoody is a wonderful softshell jacket. It's great for active backcountry pursuits, whether you’re going skiing, climbing, or mountaineering. Here’s why the staff at Climb On LOVE it!

The Goldilocks Heat Zone: It ventilates body heat well

This hoody is crafted really well and keeps you at that wonderful Goldilocks Heat Zone - not too cold, but not too warm when you're on the move!

» The breathable insulation (Polartec Alpha Direct) is a synthetic, woven fabric that allows air to flow when you perspire; wicking away the sweat. At the same time, it keeps in enough warmth while you're on-the-go.

» The face fabric used (Pertex Microlight) keeps cold draft out and allows the heat inside the fabric to expand.

It’s lightweight and packable

Weighing in around 310 g - the weight of an average human heart - this hoody is incredibly light and doesn’t take up too much space in your pack.

Super comfortable

The Ascendant Hoody acts as a cozy midlayer. The inner fabric is so soft and remains comfortable when you’re wearing it over a long sleeve or short sleeve baselayer.

Basically, this hoody is the perfect Go-To layer that you will want to take on all your climbing, skiing, and mountaineering adventures!
